Choc ’n’ Nut Cookies

Ingredients:
- 8 tblsp soft butter
- 6 tblsp brown sugar
- 6 tblsp caster sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
- 1 egg
- 1/2 bowl chopped nuts
- 175g chocolate broken into pieces
Preparation:
- Pre-heat oven to 230c (gas 8)
- Mix ingredients as follows, stirring well: flour, salt, butter, caster sugar, brown sugar, vanilla essence, egg, chocolate and nuts.
- Cover a baking tray with greased foil.
- Drop heaped teaspoons of the mixture onto the baking tray, leave at least 4cm in between each one, to allow to rise.
- Cook in oven for 12 mins.
- Leave to cool, before removing from foil with a metal spatula.
