Here we reveal which musicians and songs are linked to each of our new musical bingo calls.
MUSICAL BINGO CALLS
61: Highway 61. ’Highway 61 Revisited’ was the title of a Bob Dylan album released in 1965.
62: Blue Suede Shoes. Rock and roll song most famously sung by Elvis Presley.
63: D.L.T. Shorthand for former Radio 1 DJ Dave Lee Travis.
64: When I’m 64. Beatles song from the Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band album.
65: Eiffel 65. Italian pop group who reached #1 in 17 countries with the rather annoying ’Blue (Da Ba Dee)’ in 1999.
66: Get Your Kicks on Route 66. Popular song covered by Nat King Cole (1946), Chuck Berry (1961) and The Rolling Stones (1964).
67: Show Me Heaven. Theme song to the Tom Cruise movie ’Days of Thunder’, sung by Maria McKee.
68: Amazing Grace. A well known Christian hymn.
69: Summer of 69. One of the biggest hits for Canadian rock singer, Bryan Adams.
70: Blinded By the Light (blind 70). #1 hit in 1977 for Manfred Mann’s Earth Band.
71: Rattle and Hum. The name of both album and motion picture released by U2 in 1988.
72: Motley Crue. American heavy metal band featuring drummer Tommy Lee, who was once married to Pamela Anderson.
73: Let It Be. Title track of the Beatle’s final album of the same name. Reached #1 in March 1970.
74: Green Door. Shakin Stevens UK #1 in 1981.
75: I Will Survive. Famous Gloria Gaynor hit from 1978.
76: Trombones. 76 Trombones is the signature song from the 1957 musical play, The Music Man. It is also the traditional bingo call for #76 for this reason.
77: Elvis in Heaven. Elvis Presley died in 1977 (or did he?).
78: Gareth Gates. Pop singer who conquered his stammer to come 2nd in the TV talent show, ’Pop Idol’.
79: Hit Me Baby One More Time. The first single released by Britney Spears in 1998.
80: J-Lo. Nickname of latin american singer/actress Jennifer Lopez.
81: Elton John. Sir Elton John (born Reginald Kenneth Dwight) is one of the most successful artists of all time, with over 100 million album sales.
82: Agadoo. A novelty song from Black Lace in 1984.
83: Wannabe. The first single released by the Spice Girls in 1996.
84: More, More, More. 1976 song by Andrea True Connection, famously covered by Bananarama in 1993.
85: Staying Alive. BeeGees hit from the 1977 Saturday Night Fever soundtrack.
86: Hit Me With Your Rhythm Sticks. A UK #1 in 1978 for Ian Drury & The Blockheads.
87: John Lennon. Member of the Beatles who penned hits such as ’Imagine’ and ’Give Peace a Chance’.
88: Fat Bottomed Girls. Queen ’Greatest Hits’ track released in 1978.
89: I Feel Fine. Another #1 hit for the Beatles in 1964.
90: Top of the Pops. UK music chart TV show which ran from 1964 - 2006.
